Billy Paratene

Billy has lived in Pōneke his whole life and has whakapapa to Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahungungu and Rangitāne ki Wairau. 

He first connected to BGI in high school through the Kura Wānanga, where he went on to come back to volunteer as a tuakana before eventually starting his work at BGI. 

Billy has a strong passion for music, videography, art and all things creative.
