Sports Break is our school holiday programme! It’s jam packed with a variety of activities, keeping young people aged 11 to 17 engaged and active.

Among the activities we run are pool swimming, Te Papa trips, sports days, City to Sea Museum visits, beach days, and the occasional movie when everyone needs some calm time.

The programme usually runs over three-six weekdays during the holidays, 10am till 2pm (be sure to check the dates for the upcoming holidays). We're lucky to have ongoing support from Wainuiomata Intermediate Gym – Sports Break is often based out of their gym.

Our young people are looked after by trained youth workers, who have experience working with rangatahi from a range of backgrounds and ethnicities. While the focus is on team-building and group fun, individual needs and abilities are always sensitively catered to.

Sports Break is perfect for local young people who love physical play, learning new skills, and making friends. By the end of the holidays, we've become one big whānau and participants can't wait for the next programme to roll around.

We're especially interested in supporting our older, returning rangatahi to step into volunteer leadership roles – one day they might run Sports Break themselves!

& Monday and Tuesday the 10th & 11th of July

When: 10:00am-2:00pm
