Paper Bag Hustle

Paper Bag Hustle (formally known as Paper Bag Lunch) is where big ideas meet bold action. PBH is where PBL meets side hustle — A life skills and youth entrepreneurship collaboration. This programme is designed especially for young people with disabilities who learn hands-on and want to "hustle” their own way with the support of friends and mentors. From brainstorming and ideation, design, budgeting and need, our young people learn how to turn their creativity into real-world enterprise.

With personalised support from our coordinators and teacher aides, each young person builds skills at their own pace — gaining confidence, teamwork skills, money know-how, and the courage to put their ideas out into the world.

The first hour is dedicated to developing a side hustle business plan and the second hr is hosted in the kitchen where the young people make a simple and delicious meal together, setting the table and enjoying some kai and korero about how their hustle session went.

When: Fortnightly 9.30-11.30am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Where: BGI Community Kitchen

If you know a young person with disabilities who might benefit from Paper Bag Hustle, or you’d like to learn more, get in contact with Jo or Donné.
