Ko Annalese Selafina Hume-Kinzett tōku ingoa. Ko Kāi Tahu, ko Ngāti Kahungunu nga iwi. Ou te sau mai Saleufi, Apia.

Annalese is from the Wairarapa but has now settled in Wellington and made it home.

At BGI Annalese is the support coordinator for the Challenge for Change programme and also volunteers as part of Te Ahi o Ngā Rangatahi which is how she came to know BGI. She has a background in Art and Creativity from The Learning Connection, Bicultural Social Services from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, and Bachelor of Social Work with Whitireia. She has always been passionate about using her lived experiences and bodies of knowledge to find ways to empower herself, whānau, hapu, iwi & hapori (community) – especially youth.

Annalese also loves any and all forms of creative expression, and creating opportunities that best support those practices. She wants to be able to help strengthen sense of self, belonging, community, and connection through holding space and the use of creative practice.
